Stephen Yuan, MD
Board Certified - Internal Medicine
Stephen Yuan, MD attended Yale University and graduated with a B.S. in 1977. Subsequently he went to New York University medical school, graduating in 1981. He completed his internal medicine residency at Hartford Hospital in 1984, and practiced here for 40 years. He recently retired.
George Anastasio, MD
Board Certified - Internal Medicine
George Anastasio, MD attended Wesleyan University, graduating with a B.S. in 1982. He then worked at Pfizer as a chemist before attending medical school at the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1988. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital in 1991 and has been practicing at Suffield Medical ever since.
Josephine Diaz, MHS, PA-C

Josephine Diaz attended University of Massachusetts for her undergraduate studies, earning a B.S. in 1991. She then worked in psychology research before attending Duke University for her physician associate degree, graduating in 1999. She has practiced at Suffield Medical for over 20 years.
Mark Volpe, MPH, MMSc, PA-C

Mark Volpe attended the University of Connecticut earning a B.S. in 2011. He then attended Southern Connecticut State University and Yale School of Medicine, earning an MPH and physician associate degree in 2015. He has practiced in urgent care, and at Suffield Medical since 2015.
Amanda Spence, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Amanda Spence joined Suffield Medical in 2023. She completed her Bachelor's degree (B.S.N.) in 2010 at the University of Saint Joseph and worked in the emergency department before returning to school at USJ and completing her nurse practitioner degree in 2018. Since then she has worked in primary care and urgent care.
Brittany Champagne, MS, PA-C

Brittany Champagne joined Suffield Medical in 2025. She completed her Bachelor's degree (B.A.) at Dartmouth College in 2018 and was a member of the Division I soccer team. She worked as an EMT and ER tech before returning to school to complete her physician associate degree at Westfield State University in 2024.
